You know the story. On a hot summer day, Sally, her brother Franklin, and a few friends trek across the vast Texas wastelands to check on their grandfather’s gravesite. A foreboding encounter with a Polaroid-snapping, razor-slashing hitchhiker steadily guides them to their doom. Leatherface. Meathooks. Grandpa. Everything goes to hell from there.
A true independent, Director Tobe Hooper produced The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for less than $300,000 with a cast of unknown actors and shot the film in central Texas.
We are utterly thrilled to be showing Chainsaw at The Alabama Theatre on one of the last theatrical prints in existence.
